Jesus Never Existed – Ken Humphreys Ideas on Video

Some years back I came across the web site of Kenneth Humphreys – ‘Jesus Never Existed’ – http://www.jesusneverexisted.com/ .  I read the various articles on the site with the central focus of Christian religion’s roots.  Ken Humphreys asserts that there was no historical Jesus of Nazareth any more than there was a historic Zeus.

As I am typing this in my kitchen I can hear Ken Humphreys distinct British accent speaking on the video which is playing in another room.  He is both passionate, and entertaining.

Years ago when I first found Ken Humphreys work online and on Youtube I copied the ten minute videos and made an hour long single video.  In those days there was a ten minute restriction on the length of videos on Youtube.  I put my longer edit on Dailymotion and on Vimeo.  Later, when Youtube removed the restrictions for longer videos I put the video on Youtube.

Or…Was Jesus a Woman?

I also made a video at that time based on a National Lampoon graphic series ‘The Story of Jessica Christ’ where the Jesus character is depicted as a woman.

The religious style of the graphics is very much like the style in Catholic school books in the 1950’s and 1960’s.  Well, except for the change in subject matter.  I went to nine years of Catholic school and then four years of weekly classes in Christian Doctrine every Monday night.  The ideas in these videos were not the kind of lessons I was taught in Catholic school.
